Built in 1899 as a home for the Park Keeper and his familiy the Park Keeper's Lodge in Selly Oak Park is a wonderful victorian house with a fantastic public park as its front garden.

In recent years the lodge was rented out to private tennants. When the last tennant left in 2025 the house was deemed unfit for habitation and was boarded up for security. It has since been earmarked for sale by Birmingham City Council. The park is registered as an Asset of Community Value and Selly Oak CDT would like buy it. In April 2026 we held a public consulation on possible uses including community use, cafe and housing.
